God Speaks To Us

Have you heard from God today?

Romans 8:16: The Spirit itself beareth witness with our spirit, that we are the children of God:

The Holy Spirit bears witness with the spirit of all living people, confirming that we are the children of God.
Assuring us everyday of our salvation. Satan does not want you to be assured, he wants you doubting. In truth many
of us do doubt. It is time that we listen to voice of God through His Spirit.

Whose report are we gonna believe?

There are four ways that God may reveal His voice to you.

1) God speaks through prayer

Psalms 91:15: He shall call upon me, and I will answer him: I will be with him in trouble; I will deliver him, and
honour him.

In Old Testament times God sometimes spoke aloud to the men of God. As this was the case with Adam, & Moses.
However, more often than not, he spoke to them through the Spirit in prayer. This is one of the ways that He chooses
to speak to us today. If we open up our hearts in prayer, we can sense the Spirit of God moving, we can feel His
presence, and His peace. It is His desire to fellowship with you. That is why we are told to pray without ceasing.

1 Thes. 5:17: Pray without ceasing.

Prayer is an attempt of man to commune with God. It is our desire reaching out to His desire and bringing fellowship,
hope, assurance, etc. I hope that when you pray you aren't just speaking into thin air. If so, that's why you didn't get a
response from God.

God should be on your mind 24/7. If this is the case, you should desire to pray as Anna.

Luke 2:36: And there was one Anna, a prophetess, the daughter of Phanuel, of the tribe of Aser: she was of a great
age, and had lived with an husband seven years from her virginity;
37: And she was a widow of about fourscore and four years, which departed not from the temple, but served God
with fastings and prayers night and day.

She was in communication with God. She was honored to have witnessed the birth of the salvation of God. God
wants this same communion with each one of us.

2) God speaks through His promises.

2 Peter 1:4: Whereby are given unto us exceeding great and precious promises: that by these ye might be partakers of
the divine nature, having escaped the corruption that is in the world through lust.

Exceeding great promises!!!

The Bible is filled with promise after promise after promise. It is important that we search out these promises in Gods
word and claim them for ourselves. Through Gods word we are promised salvation, sustenance, and stability. If we
are not holding on to the promises of God, we are lacking in having them fulfilled in our lives.

Skeptics have ridiculed the Bible and its promises for years, but it has never been destroyed. Why?

Matthew 24:35: Heaven and earth shall pass away, but my words shall not pass away.

Be cause it offers hope to everyone who pleads the blood. Anyone who comes to the knowledge of Christ is not going
to give up Gods word. It is the ultimate testimony of Christ. Our path to knowing him and His will for our life. God
speaks to us from every page, and our hope is His promise. To hold His promises in our hearts is to commune with
Him, to believe in Him, to trust in Him. God is faithful. There is a promise for every need that you will ever encounter.
We must read them, and re-read them, until they are written upon the tabernacle of our hearts.

3) God speaks through His preachers.

Matthew 10:20: For it is not ye that speak, but the Spirit of your Father which speaketh in you.

Gods word is written by Holy men, it was given them by the inspiration of God.
That the man of God....Pastors, Teachers, Workers, etc.... can be a vessel fit for use.

2 Tim. 3:16: All scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for
instruction in righteousness:
17: That the man of God may be perfect, throughly furnished unto all good works.

Many preachers have gone on to be with the Lord, but their teachings still remain. We still hear God speak through
devout men of God. Luther, Wesley, Wigglesworth, Sunday, Moody, etc. The list goes on and on.

To many times we put a preacher on a pedestal because of who he appears to be. In truth he is the same as us, flesh
and blood. What we truly saw behind the pulpit was simply a willing vessel. The message that touched our heart was
not the preachers message, it was Gods message.

God will speak through any person who is willing to be the vessel of the Lord. Any person who is totally committed to
practice and preach the Word of God. Never look at a man and esteem him as anything other than a man. Accept the
instruction given you as from God. For in truth it is God speaking. He is simply using His servant.

4) God speaks through His providence.

Romans 8:28: And we know that all things work together for good to them that love God, to them who are the called
according to his purpose.

Providence means: "The care or benevolent guidance of God"... Webster

When we suffer trials, God suffers.
When we go through tribulations, God goes.
When trouble comes in to our lives, trouble comes into His.

God speaks to His burdened people, through comfort, care, and love. He will console you, hold you, and wipe your
tears away. He will perform a miracle in your life.

When nothing in your life seems to add up.
When hope is lying on the floor appearing to be dead.
When burden after burden has climbed upon your back.

Then Gods providence begins to speak.
Peace overtakes you.
Love fills your heart.
His arms begin to hold you.
With the tenderness of a kiss, He wipes your tears.
Then as a loving Father he restores you to the place from where you have fallen.
He'll pick up the hope from the floor and put it back into your heart.

Every miracle, every blessing, every hope, that you have, or ever have experienced is Gods providence speaking to

It is time for church to Listen, and Listen, and listen!!!
